CiteSweep is designed as a browser-side utility. The PDF you choose is read by code running in your browser; CiteSweep does not provide an application-server upload endpoint for the document.

Third-party resources

The site may load third-party resources such as the PDF parsing library and advertising scripts. Those requests can expose ordinary web-request metadata such as IP address and browser information to those providers. The contents of the PDF are not intentionally sent to those providers by CiteSweep.

CSV and TXT exports are generated in your browser.
